Should I Take a Multivitamin?

According to many doctors, expert organizations, and scientific studies,
yes you should!

The American Medical Association’s journal has published the
following recommendation:

Most people do not consume an optimal amount of all vitamins by diet alone.  Pending strong evidence of effectiveness from randomized trials, it appears prudent for all adults to take vitamin supplements.”1

The Council for Responsible Nutrition has also recommended the regular use of multivitamins to improve health:

The regular use of multivitamins and a few other nutritional supplements can measurably improve the nutritional status and lifelong health of the American public. Adoption of the concept of supplementation as a part of personal lifestyles, health care practices, and public policy would benefit individuals, would improve the health profile of the nation as a whole, and could significantly reduce health care costs.2

Most doctors also personally take multivitamins to improve their own health. A recent study found that 72% of doctors and 89% of nurses use supplements to improve their own health and wellness.3

But only about 50% of U.S. adults reported taking daily multivitamins.4

Taking a high quality daily multivitamin is a easy and affordable way to help ensure you are getting the well-balanced vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients you need.

But there is a wide range of quality among multivitamins, so it is important to know what to look for. Being able to absorb your multivitamin well is crucially important to getting the most benefit and value, so we recommend choosing an effervescent multivitamin—which is a sparkling drink rather than a pill. Studies show these effervescent drinks are better absorbed than pills. They require less processing too, which helps protect both the ingredients and the environment. And they are more enjoyable to take!

Oxylent is an effervescent daily multivitamin that provides a 5-in-1 formula of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids, and electrolytes—all in one refreshing drink. Add a packet to water and enjoy daily. It tastes great, is sweetened with stevia, and contains no sugar, GMOs, calories, gluten, dairy, soy, or anything artificial.
